Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
